Tetris

Think I might have too much time on my hands... Played Tetris with the wood today. 

Note. The floor is going to be replaced and so is the fire place.  The bricks will get rendered and painted white...

Only a Swede?

Only a swede would understand why you'd drive 45 min (to ikea) for Sill and Kalles Kaviar??

No wheat, no dairy and no refined sugar. For a month....

Ahhh.  This one were supposed to go in last week!!! But did not.... 

Anyway here it is; 

This week has been chockablock.  

Sunday J ran the city to surf. Well done hun!!!! Then invited to the VIP tent for fairfax.  Nice! 

80.0000 people ran the City To Surf this year - and J bumped into Amy!!!!

I've had several interviews for new jobs so my confidence is dangerously high haha ! 

We also decided we cannot wait to replace the oven any more. It does not work properly ! Initially we thought we'd leave it all until we rip out the kitchen and get a new one.  Not possible any more the old one has well and truly passed its dye date ! 

Soooo this it the new one ; 

I love it!!!

I also got a new kettle.  Out old one looks exactly the same but also been used soooo much it is in pretty bad shape.  This one ( on top of the big package) is new and shiny! 

Chicken liver

As you know Frida has to be on be on soft food fur to her cut at the back of the throat. 

I have been serving tuna, rice, sardines, mince and other soft food. ( not all together ). 

I read that chicken liver is very healthy too  for dogs and apparently provide ; protein, B vitamins, vitamin A, zinc, iron, niacin, copper and phosphorus. A good source of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, and amino acids .... 

So I bought chicken liver. Looks disgusting ! Anyway I open it and oh man it does not smell good! I mix with rice and serve..... And she hates it! Does not want to eat and just sits there looking at me as if she's saying ; ' what is this rubbish '?

Normally she scoffs everything down but nonono. Frida hates chicken liver. 

I actually served her something g else in the end.  The liver is in the bin.  Where it belong ! Yak !

Shepherd's Pie

Made my first ever Shepherd's Pie yesterday. Very easy I have to say - but I was still really not happy until the British food critic had tried it..... He loved it and ate 3 portions ! All good! Not the last time we eat SP for din dins.... 

PS. It was much nicer than it looks ... Photographing food is really hard... 

Things you find in the house....

....when you have children....

1. The bread in the tumble dryer. ( 3 hours later..)

2. A bite in a tomato...that is put back in the bowl..

Also forgot to tell you about this lovely measurement thingy that Lis sent. It just so happens that it is from Oskar & Ellen that is from Sweden. ( she did not see this at the time of the purchase )

Lis send 2 gorgeous tops fur Oliver from baby Gap.  Love Gap! 

Can't wait fit summer now so he can wear the stripes polo and the white rashie for swimming  !

Vet

J went to the vet with the little doggy lady night. Frida had a cut in the back of her throat. She must have cut it on a stick or something. Poor Frida....

2 injections later (and huge bill) and she was back home.  Now antibiotics and soft wood for a week.... And NO more sticks !!!  

Seriously ....

....how many people are living in this house ???

Graeme 40

Graeme turned 40 yesterday.  Happy birthday !!!

Bollywood night party last night at an Indian restaurant near here.  Very fun night with lots of dancing and great food.  

How to tie a sari the right way still remains a mystery though .....
