Dog bite

.. Today Clair popped in to drop off Bobby as we are looking after him over the weekend. Just 5 min after she left I was just going to open the door and get something and swish he shot out (never happened before ) and out in the street and under a car he hid... ( Obviously he was hoping clair wold still be there... ) I was terrified he was going to get run over! I went after him (was also carrying Oliver at the time so tricky ) and tried to get him out from under the car. I grabbed his collar and he bit me!!!! I screamed, then Oliver got scared and cried. Then a car came and I had to wave and ask him to drive slowly. Then Frida had open the gate with her nose and came to see what was going on.... Drama! Haha. 

Then the neighbour heard me and came to help me.  He took bobby inside for me as i was scared of him after the bite. Luckily Frida is very obedient and I just had to tell her to go back in...  She doesn't just run off.... Thank god I only had one dog on the loose....

So as you hear - never a dull moment around here....

Lunch date

Yesterday J, I and Oliver met Sarnie and Amy and little Lula for lunch at the cafe/restAurant in J's building at Walsh bay.  I really like seeing them and we are making an effort now more than ever to see them - before they move to Queensland.... Happy for them but also very sad that they're leaving us.... 

Anyway...  Gorgeous day - think spring is here to stay. 

Both J and I had a fabulous risotto, must say it was up there with the Italian risottos. Delicious! 

Pompi

Pompi (Frida ) us back in the house !!! She spent a couple of nights with Leigh and Peter in Darlinghurst.  They looked after frida when we were in Europe and they love,love, love her .... They asked if they could borrow her for a night or so and of course we said yes.   It was nice to have a couple of days off the time consuming walking we do with her but we have missed her!!! We missed her a lot more than we thought we would actually. She is part if this family and it is a bit weird when she's not here...

Warmth

Suppose to be 28 tomorrow and 29 on Tuesday.  Maybe spring is finally here !!!

Brunch

This morning we had brunch at our favourite French cafe not far from us.  

I had a very nice bacon and egg roll!!! J went for a croissant ( his favourite brunch food).  I even had a coffee (which doesn't happen very often) and it was perfect! The sun was shining - perfect skies.  Fabulous.

First haircut

Oliver had his first haircut today.  Oh he was so cute the whole time! 

Now he's a very handsome boy! 

Busy Friday

This morning - rise and shine 5. 50 am.  I walked the dog and threw toys (what felt like) 400 times. Came back to find man and baby playing on our bed.  I brought coffee and tea and we had cuddles and play time with O.  We love that time of day... 

J went to work and I got myself sorted for a morning out.  After breakkie we set off for the Bay walk with Nicky lee and her son.  Glorious day , sunshine And blue skies - the water looked like a mirror.  We did the 10 k walk and had coffee - felt like a real ' Latte - Mamma.'  After the walk and catch up, O and I went to visit 2 child care centres  before heading home for lunch.  After lunch And playtime O slept.  I went like a whirlwind through the house , cleaned up, mise en place for dinner, 2 machines  washing, folding clothes, ironing, enrolled in swimming lessons for O etc etc.  When Oliver woke up we walked the dog and then home for FaceTime with granma Lis before dinner time... Play time then bath , then bed.... Oh oh what a day.....

Now we are relaxing after a great dinner consisting of fish , brown rice and salad.  Very nice.  We are both exhausted and I think will be an early one for us tonight ....

Bondi

Spent the day in my old hood down in Bondi.  Gorgeous day 26 degrees and sunny. (Even though pictures doesn't show that!  )

Was great To see Debbie she went overseas then I did , so been ages !

Weekend

Busy Saturday and Sunday. Sat we went to Graeme and Claire and the kids for a catch up then home to fix jobs in the house that have not been done for a month.... Sat night j was away baby sitting for Teddy so i had the evening to myself. 

Sunday.  Coffee and tea in bed.  Lots of playing with Oliver. Big fry up for breakkie.  Whilst O had a nap , we discussed the future and planned ahead.  Then I made a cake and Amy and Sarnie and little Lula came over For a cuppA. A lovely day.... Loved every minute of it. 

Lavender

Cooking

I have been cooking non stop for Oliver since we've been back. I've hardly slept or eaten but my son certainly has eaten well.  

i did not cook a lot on this holiday so subsequently he had a lot of pre fabricated food.  I don't like it.  At all. 

I normally always cook for him and the fridge and freezer is choc-a-bloc filled with fresh food.  I guess on this holiday time was not on my side and I cooked less.  Bad but now we're back on track. 

Today I've managed to cook him a lovely lentil soup, bolognaise and also a baked pumpkin.  Yummy ! So now I have for today , tomorrow and the rest goes into the freezer for later.

Almost crawling

O is soooo close to crawling now.  Every day is closer and it I'd going to happen very soon for sure !

The food in Italy is fabulous.  Really really good food.  In every way. 

Australia is not so bad either. At least not with meat.  Today a big bag from the butcher at Norton Street.

J has been in his position for a year now. They have him this bottle plus some other nice things....  Nice touch. I like it...

Weather...

Whilst we have been in Italy it has been the warmest winter in 25 years here... 

Today 30 degrees and sunny.  Winter is tough here hehe...

The red beaker that Oliver has had for a long time went walk about on the journey home.  Got him a new one today.  Charcoal this time. More 'manly' I thought hehe....

Sleepless

I'm up.  It's 1 am.  Everybody is sleeping.

 Even Oliver who was up from 23.00 -24.00..... 

I'm reading blogs and considering going downstairs for a cuppa.  

The only downside to travelling = getting over the jet lag..... 

Fridge

Home sweet home

Arrived in Sydney last night after a long flight.  Actually went really well , it is just a very long flight with an active 10 month old.... :) 

O woke up a few times last night but hopefully we're back in the routine soon again... 

Missing fam and the sunny Italy but oh dear if is sooooo good to be back home again!  

Pienza and cot....

Been the most relaxing days here in Italy.  Some days excursions. Other days lazy times by the pool.  Every day amazing food!!! 

Today we went to Pienza in the morning and for a swim in arvo. Nice day! 

Oliver almost started crawling and lots of other changes, he is growing quickly now..... 

Before I left I bought a baby Bjorn travel cot. Seriously one of my better buys since his birth! If you don't have one already - get one !!!!
