Sun , sand and water

Spent the morning at Nielsen park! Such a fabulous place , especially for kids.  It is in the harbour so less waves, got big trees for shade, has loos plus a cafe so the parents won't get cranky in shortage of caffeine.

We parked ourselves under a tree in the shade and hung out with a very happy Oliver. He loves being out and about.  Packed today so loads to look at as well.

He was a bit unsure about the waves ( small ) but happy for a little splash in the shallow with me.

Glorious weather 26 and windy so not top hot. Oh I do love Sydney when it's like this. We are so lucky to live here, like a holiday on your doorstep....

If is easy to get comfortable. Sometimes we just have so much on that packing up and going to the beach seems too hard. If you have kids you know what i mean.... pack food, nappies, wipes, toys, clothes, hats, sunscreen , water, swimwear (full suit) , hat and a million other things - for a couple of hours out. Also remember being in the sun here, even for a short time is not good so it can seem like a lot of work for a couple of hours at the beAch. There has to be shade...

However We have decided we must not ever think this way...   ( don't get me wrong , we do go to the beach just not enough!!! )

It was divine and such a lovely morning , we all loved it and changed the day completely. There is nothing like a dip in the sea!

Sitting here now, sun kissed and still have a little bit of sand between my toes , having a tea and contemplating over life. J is on the computer and Oliver is sleeping.  What a Sunday !
