New hair

When I was in Sydney I managed to squeeze in a visit at my hairdresser Daniel. It is addictive, don't start going there! I have now lived away from Sydney for 18 months and have never been to any other hairdresser! I rather fly to Sydney and see Daniel!
Anyway, he has the cutest beagle called Bert. He has a great nature, calm, cute and cuddly. So cute!

Last Sunday

Snippets from last Sunday's dinner... Was really lovely, at a table by the river, food was delicious and wine to go with divine...
I had Scallops seared and served with merguez sausage, mint, chilli and rice crisps, followed by Snapper - pan seared fillet with mussels, prawns, tomato and sauce a la Grecque then Cheese plate...
J had Moreton Bay bugs roasted and served with grilled octopus, fennel and a shellfish dressing followed by Sirloin and lovely sides,  for dessert - yes you guessed it- cheese!!
Yuuummmm!

Simple joys

Felt a bit fed up with it all this morning. Oh, ok maybe not that drastic. I just did not feel 'myself' when I went shoppign this morning. Maybe it was the rain, the thunder or the humidity (100%) (eh, which by the way makes even my hair curl and go 'big' - love it!) either way, I needed to be cheered up. I am usually bouncing - out - of - bed - at - 5.30am - type - of - person. Today that did not happen...hence I needed to take measures to change back. So this is what I did - I bought roses for the living room, a new bath ball with lots of lovely scents, a new magazine, a new scented candle and last but not least a some really nice pieces of fancy chocolate....  Order is restored in the house!

Weekend!

Not sure what hppened with this week, it's already over! J leaves for Tassie today and I am going solo with Friedels. Not much planned for a change. Some faffing around the house and walks with Friedels. Nothing else. Need my powers for the next few weeks leading up to Chrissie so will ty to chill this weekend! Not that I am very good at that, but will try! :)
Oh, and my sallad that I planted on Sunday is already growing fast ! I reckon next week we will have sallad from garden for din dins!

Sydney

Spent 48 hectic hours in Sydney. Just got back to BrisVegas.
Loved it, saw 3 of my best mates, good food, great Cafes, beautiful people and still feels like home...  I miss it!
Saw Nic who is over from Spain. She was jetlagged and tired but looks healthy and happy! Good to see her and hear gos.
Caught up quickly with Deb to get her house keys as we are staying at theirs when they go to Los Estados Unidos. Last but not least I saw my nana and stayed in the nana cave. Lots of talking,eating and laughing for the nanas!

A Very Special Day

4th of  December is a very special day! HAPPY BIRTHDAY J!! Actually, it is not only the birthday of my lovely man, it is also our anniversary. Yes, the year we met he decided that on his birthday he'd rather have dinner with me the lady he just met (our first date!), than hang out with the guys. Good choice I think of course :) , we are still together, and tonight, as we do every year, going for a really nice dinner out.

Let me start from the begnning. Of this day I mean...
This morning I woke up early and made coffee for J and we had coffees and present opening in bed. Very popular time of the day!  Then we went for a long walk to the summit - wonderful views and nice chats. Then home for a great big breakfast - bacon butties, coffee, eggs....Then cricket for Monsieur and soon we are getting ready for dindins. Been a good day, and really looking forward to tonight as well!!

Friday!

I don't usually feel this way, as I think of all days of the week as good days, even Mondays! , but this week; I am very pleased it's Friday!!! It has been a long week and J is exhausted and quite frankly so am I!! Tonight J is out wth cients and I am going o spend the night in bath and on couch watching movie!!! Noice!  

Tomorrow we are going to run errands, send xmas pressies ad go see a Pet Motel for Frida for when we go away. If any good we will book it in! Will be the frst time for her in a hotel, I am sure she will have a great time!!

On Sunday we are celebrating a very special birthday man!!! Hihi
